Social Media Trends: Say YES to engagement.

Recently, my focus has been on ways to increase our engagement through social networks. Without creating engagement, your time spent online becomes pointless and you might as well bag it up.

Creating engagement is a long process. What may work for one person, may not work for another. It’s all trial and error, and if it doesn’t work that’s ok. The important thing to remember is not to get discouraged. Instead, brush off your shoulders and try again.

The foundation of creating engagement is to have a plan. Just like anything else in life, it all has to start with a plan. For instance, a few weeks back I created a social media post schedule, or plan. This plan did not seem to cause hardly any reaction or inflow. So last week I created a new plan. As soon as this new plan was put in to play, I saw an instant difference. I’m not saying we now have a million followers or connections (would be nice), but hey, you’ve got to start somewhere.

While you do not want to constantly promote your products or services, and make everything all about you and not your readers, no one ever said you couldn’t briefly mention them. It’s a good idea to find a way to blend in your products or services without coming across as conducting a sales pitch.

For example, this month our product focus is our Quick Cleansing products. These products are needed to ensure that your HVAC units work at their highest efficiency. Coil cleaners and preventative maintenance products work to reduce your energy use, as well as to keep your environment at a comfortable temperature and humidity. If you go to our previous blog titled, “Going Through Changes,” you will see that the blog was about the many changes taking place at CRT. However, at the end, our Marketing Director Jonathan Dunagin, briefly mentioned our Quick Cleansing products in a nonchalant sort of way. The same way I just did to the blog you are currently reading. Did you catch that?

I am sure you guys all have amazing ideas as well, and I for one would love to hear them. Post a comment in the section below.
